Dijon vs PSG Prediction & Betting Tips - French Cup

Paris Saint-Germain are in French Cup (Coupe de France) action in midweek when they travel to Dijon for their quarter-final clash. Cantering to another Ligue 1 title - they are 12 points ahead of nearest 'challengers' Marseille -  Thomas Tuchel will try to inspire his players to focus on a clean sweep. A first Champions League title is the priority but winning the French Cup would also be nice - especially after last season's slip-up. Rennes spoiled the party last time out and currently hold the crown. They remain in the competition and we could yet get an epic rematch of last year's finale. Not if Dijon can help it though. The mustardy minnows have been battling relegation this season (they are three points clear of the drop in 17th place) but if demotion beckons then they at least have a scalp to take to the second tier with them; that belongs to the big bad wolf of French football, PSG.

Like a dweeb at the mercy of a relentless school bully, Dijon have had to accept heavy beatings from PSG in recent seasons. Their 2018 visit to the capital saw them squeeze an eight-goal hammering around an Eiffel Tower photoshoot. In November of 2019, many would have bet on another big PSG win when they went to Dijon's place. Instead, Dijon shocked the champions with goals either side of half-time to secure a 2-1 win. What a day that was; however, the chances of it happening again are slim. This is reflected in the odds on offer for this fixture. Yet Dijon are in decent form, (prior to their Ligue 1 match versus Nantes) they lost only two of their last nine matches. They have also kept clean sheets in their last three home games. They are gonna make it tough for PSG and thus we see a low-scoring game being a likely outcome. Back under 2.5 goals.
