Denmark are hopeful of advancing from Group 2 of League A and they will look to push closer to that dream in their home game against Iceland when the UEFA Nations League enters Match Day 5. Second placed Denmark are on seven points, two behind Belgium and face an Iceland side with no point so far in the group. With Belgium taking on England in the other game in this group, the Danes hope for an England win, which would take them top if they beat Iceland. Denmark had the perfect warm up for this clash, beating Sweden 2-0 in a friendly game that handed them a fifth straight clean sheet. They have so far lost just once in their last 21 matches and will be very confident against the group’s weakest side. In their last Nations League outing, Denmark beat England 1-0 in England, right after beating Iceland away as well. Their final match in this group is against Belgium away in what could decide the top finisher in this group and Denmark will definitely want to go there topping the group. Having failed to win in their last three Nations League matches at home, this presents a good chance to rectify that. Iceland have conceded two or more in seven of their eight Nations League matches and have failed to score in five of the eight.
