Very few predictions had Denmark and Czech Republic coming this far in Euro 2020, but a meeting in the quarters means one of the tournament underdogs will be in the semis. Czech sprung the biggest upset so far, with a 2-0 win over the Netherlands in the quarters while Denmark rolled over Wales with a 4-0 win. The Czechs limited Netherlands to very few sight on goal as they put up a great defensive wall to lock the favorites out in the round of 16. Though they were helped on by a sending off for Netherlands’ Matthijs de Ligt, they were still great. Czech Republic finished third in a group that had England and Croatia and they have shown great ability in attack, failing to score in just the England game so far in the competition. They haven’t scored more than two goals though, while the most they have conceded in a game has been one goal. Patrick Schick remains their most lethal man, with four goals to his name so far and he will be looking to lift his team once again.
Denmark had a slow start to this competition, losing their opening two games as well as losing midfielder Cristian Eriksen who collapsed in the opening game. They’ve however recovered and look to be growing from strength to strength. They have scored eight goals in their last two matches, compared to the one they managed in the opening two games. They also finished their game with Wales against 10 men but by the time Harry Wilson was sent off, Denmark had already sealed it. They have one clean sheet only in the competition, that coming in the win over Wales. Yussuf Poulsen and Daniel Wass should be available for Denmark here, which will go down as a massive boost.

Denmark are on the rise after their earlier struggles and they look like a formidable side. The Czechs on the other hand are good defensively and will want to hold off a rampant Danish attack that has eight goals in the last two games. Denmark have managed just one clean sheet in the four matches here and that is an area they’ll want to tighten up, while the Czech have that surprise element though they don’t score a lot and can be opened up defensively with some creativity, as seen against England and Croatia. We expect both sides to score here and just like in most of their recent meetings, a draw is a likely outcome
