Crystal Palace hosts Norwich City in the Carabao Cup Second round, with both sides looking for a boost after slow starts to the season. Neither team has won a league match yet in this campaign. Our prediction for this match shows it could be a closely fought contest between the Eagles and Canaries for a place in the Third Round, when the top Premier League teams enter the competition.
Palace boss Oliver Glasner had a fantastic end to last season with his team, but that form hasn’t carried over into the new season. A 2-1 defeat at Brentford on the opening day of the Premier League season was followed by a 2-0 home defeat to West Ham United at the weekend. No Palace player has scored a goal this season, with their strike at Brentford coming via an own goal.
Norwich started the season with a 2-0 reverse at Oxford United and in the league have since drawn both home games; 2-2 with Blackburn followed by a 1-1 tie with Sheffield United last weekend. In the Carabao Cup First Round, they edged out Stevenage 4-3 in a thriller at Carrow Road. Manager Daniel Farke rested several players for that game and is likely to do the same here with a league game away to Coventry on the weekend.
Norwich strikers Josh Sargeant and Borja Sainz for Norwich have both picked up two goals apiece this season, but the Canaries have shipped eight goals in four games this season, which will be a real concern heading to face a Palace team usually so dangerous at home.

Our Crystal Palace vs Norwich Prediction
Our prediction for Crystal Palace vs. Norwich City in the Carabao Cup Second round is: Crystal Palace to win and Both Teams to Score.
The home side are yet to win this season, but face a Norwich City side also struggling in the Championship in the early weeks of the season. Both teams are conceding goals at present, and both managers will likely rotate players for this fixture, which tilts the balance in Palace's favor still further. The data suggests goals at both ends here but Palace should prevail.
