Croatia and Slovenia are both coming from wins in Round 5 of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers and will be gunning for three points again when they face off in Split. Hosts Croatia’s 1-0 win over Slovakia saw them stay joint top with Russia on 10 points while Slovenia beat Malta 1-0 to stay third on seven points. A late goal from Marcelo Brozovic gave Croatia the win in Slovakia and while it was their second straight clean sheet, it was once again an exhibit of a blunt attack.
