The last time these two countries met, both nations were full of excitement for a World Cup semi-final, it's not quite the same for this match. Both Croatia and England have already been beaten by Spain in this group and with them in such a strong position, this game is a relegation battle. Croatia won that semi-final after extra-time and then lost to France in the World Cup final. Since then they have drawn an away-friendly with Portugal and then had a nightmare 6-0 defeat at Spain in their opening UEFA Nations League game. That means over 90 minutes, Croatia have gone six games without a win and their fans will hope they can produce some better form on home territory where they haven't lost since 2013 even though this game is being played behind closed doors due to UEFA sanctions.

England also lost their first game in this group going down 2-1 at home to Spain. A much-changed team got a 1-0 home win over Switzerland in a home friendly ending a run of one win in six games over 90 minutes. Now they face two away games in this group and need to win at least one of them to keep themselves in the hunt for top spot or at least avoid relegation. Gareth Southgate has again named a young team and over 90 minutes England have only won six of their last 14 games. Midfield will again be vital in this game and it's an area where England struggle particularly when up against the likes of Modric. The tip here is for a Croatia home win.
