That season record puts them third in the race for the two wild card positions and they are only one win behind Tampa Bay Rays and two adrift of Oakland Athletics. They are on a charge at the moment with six of their last seven matches being won, the other being a loss to the Philadelphia Phillies. Chicago Whitesox are third in the American League Central but are a long way behind their opponents in terms of wins. They have had 68 compared to the 92 that Cleveland have.
