Neither of these sides are in good form at present. San Francisco have lost their last four games and it's two defeats in a row for home side Chicago Bears. The 49ers are third in the NFC West with a 2-4 record, while the Bears are 3-4 and third in the NFC East. In terms of their overall position in the NFC, both have some wortk to do if they want to make the play-offs. The 49ers are in 11th place, with the Bears two places ahead of them. San Francisco actually won their first two games of the season but four losses have followed.

Chicago were 3-2 at one stage this season but have slipped to negative figures due to successive losses being inflicted on them by Green Bay and Tampa Bay. The loss to the Super Bowl champions saw them score just three points and concede 38. It could have been a lot worse though as they were 35-3 down after the first two quarters. Chicago do need to score more points, having only a highest score of 24 this season. In their four losses this season, only 37 points have been scored. Both teams need a win here, go for the 49ers to get the victory.
