There will be two unseeded players in the last four of the Paris Masters. One will come from this indoor hard court quarter-final as lucky loser Nuno Borges faces unseeded Casper Ruud. Borges recently beat Ruud on this surface and our prediction is he will win this match.
In the semi-finals, the winner will face either second seed Carlos Alcaraz or 11th-seeded Taylor Fritz.
Nuno Borges has made the most of his reinstatement as a lucky loser. He was beaten in the final qualifying round, but withdrawals saw him back in the tournament. Since then, he has won three matches and only dropped 13 games. In the last 16, he defeated Ignacio Buse 6-0 6-2.
Borges recently made it to the last eight in Basel and beat Ruud in three sets earlier in that tournament.
Overall, the pair are 2-2 in previous meetings with Borges winning two of the last three.
Casper Ruud has won five of his six indoor hard court matches played this year. He has reached this stage without losing a set. Wins have come against Juan Manuel Cerundolo, ninth seed Rafael Jodar and in the last 16, Jan-Lennard Struff. He hasn't reached a semi-final on this surface since Stockholm in October 2025.
