For the second time in as many months, Jack Draper will be playing in a Masters 1000 final. The British No. 1 is set to face Casper Ruud at the Madrid Open on Sunday. This will be the first meeting between the two players. Read on for our prediction of the match.

World No. 15 Casper Ruud saw off Francisco Cerundolo in straight sets in the semis. He hasn’t dropped a set at Madrid, a run he will want to carry into the final.

It may be a tall order, but having beaten Daniil Medvedev and Taylor Fritz on his way gives him the confidence he needs.

While Ruud is playing his third clay final at Masters level, this is Draper’s first. The Brit will, however, be unfazed as he has already proven he can be a tough nut on clay too.

Draper beat Lorenzo Musetti in straight sets in the semis. Earlier he had seen off a number of top players – Matteo Arnaldi, Tommy Paul, Matteo Berrettini, and Tallon Griekspoor.

Against Berrettini, he was on the court for under an hour, as the Italian retired. With that, he has been able to save more time for rest, and like Ruud, he’s also not dropped a set in Madrid.
