Cagliari are on a bad run of form at the moment and have slipped down to eighth in Serie A. This weekend they host Napoli who are three places and two points behind their opponents. The home side were in great form during September and October with eight wins and five draws. However, it’s all gone wrong for them since then with no league wins in their last nine league matches with five defeats. Home form has blown hot and cold with five wins and four losses this season, two coming in the last three. They have conceded twice in each of their last three home league fixtures. Cagliari are only two points off the final Europa League place though and need to get back into winning ways.

It’s been a difficult season for Napoli who have failed to put in a challenge for the Serie A title. They are down in 11th but just four points adrift of the Europa League qualification places. The last few months of 2019 saw them go nine league games without a win before winning away at Sassuolo three days before Christmas. 2020 has also proved to be an inconsistent one for Napoli. They started off with three straight league defeats before beating Juventus and Sampdoria. Napoli couldn’t keep that good run going though and lost 3-2 at home to relegation threatened Lecce last week. Away form has been not too bad with only two losses in nine and two of the last three have ended in victory. A bet on Napoli getting the win here is the suggested wager.
