Bristol are third in Pool 4 of the European Rugby Champions Cup after their opening victory. This weekend sees them play Section Paloise at home with the visitors bottom of the pool and with no points. Read our match prediction below.
The home side won away at Scarlets last weekend, winning 17-16. That didn't see them earn a bonus point so they are behind leaders Bordeaux (the defending champions) and Northampton Saints who were the losing finalists last season.
Bristol have won both of their last two games after previously having beaten Northampton at home. They are fifth in PREM Rugby and have a 100% home record with all three games being won. That includes beating the sides currently second and third in the table. After this fixture, they are away to Bulls before a final home game against Bordeaux Begles. A win here should see them in the last 16.
Section Paloise led Northampton last weekend but ended up losing 35-27. They are the only club in this pool yet to earn a point. The French club are second in Top 14 but have lost three of their five away games, winning the other two.
They had won three straight league games before losing to Northampton.
