Brescia have a game in hand but start the weekend in 16th place in Serie A. With this match against eighth placed Fiorentina not taking place until Monday, they could well be in the bottom three by then. The newly-promoted side have won two of their six league games, losing the rest. They have lost four of their last five league matches, the other being a win at Udinese who are two places above them. They haven't had the easiest of fixture lists though and four of their six games have been played away from home. The last two games have been against Juventus and Napoli losing both of them 2-1. Home form has seen them lose both of their games to Bologna and Juventus. They led in both those matches and were 3-1 up on Bologna.

Fiorentina had a rough time in the second half of last season and narrowly avoided relegation. They made a slow start this time around too but come into this game unbeaten in their last five league matches. Fiorentina probably didn't want that international break to take place though they did win a friendly during the 'break.'. They have won each of their last three league games including a 3-1 away win at AC Milan. Three away games have produced four points and they also drew at third-placed Atalanta. Go for an away win in this match.
