Between them these two players have already been involved in three matches that have gone to a deciding set. Round four of the outdoor hard court National Bank Open sees 13th seed Jakub Mensik take on unseeded Botic van de Zandschulp. Our prediction is more than 22.5 games.

For the winner, there's a quarter-final against either fifth seed Ben Shelton or 22nd-seeded Joao Fonseca.

Jakub Mensik is the world number 17 and that puts him 53 places above his opponent.

This year has seen Mensik win 18 of his 25 outdoor hard court matches. He has won one ATP title in Auckland seven months ago and also reached one other quarter-final, plus a last four appearance in Doha. He's also been a semi-finalist in the French Open on clay.

So far in Montreal, he has beaten Jacob Fearnley in three sets and then Terence Atmane in two.

Botic van de Zandschulp has already played over six hours in this tournament. His first round match against hard-serving Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard went to three sets. He then defeated fourth seed Daniil Medvedev in straight sets, before a three-set victory over Hubert Hurkacz.

That has taken his 2026 outdoor hard court record to 7-5 but this is his first time past round three this year.
