Borussia Dortmund vs Aston Villa Prediction & Betting Tips - Clubs Friendlies

In their last friendly before the competitive season starts, German club Borussia Dortmund hosts Premier League side Aston Villa. This is the first-ever match between these clubs and will be played at the Signal Uduna Park Stadium in Dortmund, with a likely prediction of teams going for goals.

The Germans have played three friendly matches so far, excluding the 4x30-minute format game against Villarreal. In those three matches, they drew 1-1 with Aue, lost 4-0 to Pathum United of Thailand, and won 3-2 against Cerezo Osaka of Japan. This will be their last friendly match before starting their competitive season with a game in the DFB Pokal next week.

Villa have had mixed results in their friendlies as well. They played six friendly matches in the pre-season and had three wins and losses each. One of those defeats was a 2-0 loss to another Bundesliga side, RB Leipzig, so the home fans could be hoping for a similar result. Regardless, the visitors won 3-2 against Athletic Bilbao in their last match and have this game as their last friendly before the Premier League campaign starts next weekend.

Dortmund will be looking to replace Niclas Fullkrug up front, who left the club for West Ham. There’s enough depth in their squad, which is also the case with Aston Villa, who will look for their new recruits to gel together in their last friendly.
