The Netherlands are in trouble again and start this game in third place behind France and Sweden. They trail group leaders France by four points and Sweden, who fill the play-off spot by three points. The bad news continues because both the top two have a better goal difference than the Dutch. France travel to Bulgaria who are only a point behind the Netherlands, while Sweden are home to Luxembourg and should get a home win. If they do then the Dutch need to beat Belarus by a few goals and then might have to do the same to Sweden when they play them at home in their final fixture and after all that they'd still only be in the play-offs unless France collapse. The Netherlands have only had one away win in this group so far, a 3-1 win in Luxembourg. Their last two away games in this group have seen a 2-0 loss in Bulgaria followed by a 4-0 hammering in France. Belarus aren't quite in that class and are bottom of the group with five points but have beaten Bulgaria at home in this group so aren't total mugs. Further proof of that is the fact France only drew 0-0 away to Belarus. Sweden did beat them 4-0 though ending a run of six home games without defeat for Belarus.  The Dutch won't find this easy at all but know they just have to get three points to set up that showdown with Sweden, back them to win on a -1  handicap.
