This weekend sees a repeat of the 2024-25 European Rugby Champions Cup final. Defending champions Bordeaux Begles are second in Pool 4 of this year's competition, behind visitors Northampton Saints on points difference. Read our match prediction below.
Bordeaux Begles won last season's final but only by eight points. The only other meeting between these two clubs took place in 2020 with Bordeaux winning by a four-point margin and another great battle looks on the cards this weekend.
The home side have so far come from behind to win at Bulls and then beat Scarlets 50-21 at home. They are fourth in Top 14 and have won six of their seven home league fixtures this season.
Northampton Saints have also won both of their matches in this pool. Their campaign began with a 35-27 win away at Section Paloise. They followed that up with a comfortable 50-5 home win over Bulls.
The Saints are currently top of PREM Rugby taking over from Bath who they recently recorded an away win over. Last weekend saw them beat out-of-form Harlequins 66-21 at home. Three of their four away league games have been won this term.
Bordeaux will be tough to beat on home soil but we back Northampton with a 15.5 points start.
