Barnsley moved up to ninth in the Championship after a 3-1 away win at Aston Villa on Tuesday. They are six points away from the play-off places and played a game more. The Yorkshire side have only lost one of their last six league games and it's the same stat for their recent home record. With 3rd placed Huddersfield at home a week after this game and then a trip to Derby, they are at a crucial stage in their bid to get into the promotion shake-up. That's where Brighton and Hove Albion have been all season and they start this weekend in second place. The gap between them and Huddersfield (who are on FA Cup duty this weekend) is down to four points after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Ipswich on Tuesday. They've only won one of their last five league and cup games and conceded three goals in each of their last three away matches. After this face fourth placed Reading and leaders Newcastle at home in the space of three days, so a crucial period for them too. A difficult game to predict with Barnsley coming into form and Brighton slipping slightly. Goals look guaranteed here so go for both teams to score.
