Cynics may well say that this might as well be the actual cup final. The winners of this tie will start as overwhelming favourites to get the better of either Celta Vigo or Alaves (0-0 after the first leg) in the final. It's looking very much as if it will be Barcelona who qualify for that game having won the first leg of this semi-final 2-1 last week. First half goals from Suarez and Messi put Barca in charge with a second half Atletico goal from Griezmann giving them a bit of hope going into this second leg. Barcelona are unbeaten in their last nine league and cup games and haven't lost at home since September. Who beat them on that occasion? It was Alaves who Barca could well meet in the final. Atletico Madrid have it all to do here and the more they attack, the more chance of them leaving gaps at the back for their opponents to take advantage of. They have only won one of their last three games (including being held to a draw by Alaves). Earlier in this competition, Atletico lost at home to Las Palmas but still won the tie, could history repeat itself? A win for Barcelona looks the most likely result here as they aim to finish the job off and make the final.
