Azerbaijan used their free weekend to take on Qatar in a friendly match ahead of their Group A match against Serbia in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. In terms of group standings, Azerbaijan are fourth without a point while Serbia have four points and top the group. In terms of attack, Serbia haven’t had issues, scoring 10 goals in the last five matches while conceding four, while keeping three clean sheets in the process. A last minute call that denied Cristiano Ronaldo the winner in the match against Portugal ensured Serbia remain unbeaten in six matches but with just two wins the process. They are also unbeaten in the last five away matches, but with four straight draws heading to Azerbaijan. In the last four World Cup qualification matches, Serbia have scored two or more in three and have just one loss, and nine wins in the last 15. They’ve scored in seven straight away matches in World Cup qualifiers.
