Atalanta had a tough introduction to the Champions League in midweek as they lost 4-0 away to Dinamo Zagreb. They look to bounce back from that defeat with a home win over struggling Fiorentina in Serie A. Atalanta start the weekend in fifth place with six points from their first three league games of the new season. They got off to a shaky start going 2-0 down away at SPAL in their opening match. Two goals from Luis Muriel helped them recover to a 3-2 victory. Duvan Zapata scored twice for them in their next game but they lost 3-2 at home to Torino. That loss ended a run of seven home league games without defeat. Muriel and Zapata were on target again when Atalanta won 2-1 at Genoa, it took a 95th minute goal to secure the three points. So, that's two wins out of three and they will want to get a third win to restore confidence after the loss in midweek.

Fiorentina had a dreadful second half of the 2018/19 season. Their form totally collapsed with a points tally of just four from their last ten league games of the season. That poor form nearly got them relegated and this season hasn't begun well for them. Three league matches have produced just one point leaving them with only pointless Sampdoria below them. Fiorentina lost their first game of the new season 4-3 at home to Napoli  Just like Atalanta, they have played Genoa away but Fiorentina went down 2-1. Their only league point came in a home goalless draw with Juventus. Fiorentina have only one point from their last seven away league games. That run includes a 3-1 loss at Atalanta in March of this year. Go for Atalanta to get a welcome home win here.
