Atalanta vs Empoli Prediction & Betting Tips - Serie A

At the time of writing this preview, Atalanta are fifth in Serie A and only outside the Champions League places on goal difference. They are in good form with a six-game unbeaten run in the league and last weekend went to third-placed Inter and came home with a draw. Only one of their last eight home league games have ended in defeat and three of their last five on home territory have been won. They have been exciting games with plenty of goals and only one of their last ten home games has failed to see both teams score.

Empoli are in deep relegation trouble and two points from safety. They have been making a fight of it though with two recent wins, including one over second-placed Napoli. Both were at home though and their away form is nowhere near as good. Last week saw them lose 3-2 at Udinese with all the goals coming in an action-packed first half. That was their 11th away league defeat of the season and the best they have managed on their travels has been four draws. It's unlikely their first away win of the campaign will come this weekend and the tip is for a home win.
