Manchester City had a great win in midweek and now head to Wembley for the EFL Cup final. A win over Aston Villa will see them win this competition for the third year in a row. Their Premier League title may be almost lost but there's still the chance of a treble of EFL Cup, FA Cup and Champions League. That wouldn't be too bad a season! City have won their last three games and wins at Leicester and Real Madrid show what form they are in. If you can start a game at Real Madrid with Aguero and Sterling on the bench, that shows just how strong (if a tad inconsistent at times) they can be.
Aston Villa were the first winners of this trophy way back in 1961. Victory this weekend would be their sixth League Cup win, taking them level with Manchester City but two behind Liverpool. They last won the EFL Cup in 1996 and it's ten years since their last final. Villa would love to win this final and qualify for the Europa League but have other probably more important things on their mind. They could be in the Premier League relegation zone by the time this match begins. Villa have lost their last three games and conceded seven goals and it's 11 games since a clean sheet. Their recent home game against Manchester City saw then hammered 6-1, following a 3-0 away loss earlier in the season. Go for City to win this final on a -2 handicap.
