Eighth seed Amanda Anisimova and 18th seed Beatriz Haddad Maia will face off in the fourth round at the US Open. Anisimova has the head-to-head advantage in the three meetings between these two. Haddad Maia hasn’t had it easy this season and will only be playing her 37th match of the season. She’s, however, on the verge of equaling her performance at Flushing Meadows last year.

To get to this round, the Brazilian saw off Maria Sakkari in straight sets but is still on a losing record. She has so far compiled a 13-23 record for the season and is placed 28th on the live rankings.

Anisimova is targeting her second title of the season, after victory in Doha. That was just one of her three finals this season, one of them being at Wimbledon.

With a 7-3 record in the fourth round, the American comes bearing the confidence to earn a victory here. She has two wins in three meetings with Haddad Maia but lost the latest of them, two years ago in Adelaide.

For the first time at the 2025 US Open, Anisimova dropped a set as she beat Jaqueline Cristian in the third round. That win was her seventh in the last 10 matches and 36th of the season, seeing her rise to a record sixth place in the live rankings.
