Alexander Zverev has won both of his matches this week without losing a set. The German defeated Alejandro Tabilo in the first round and then Jacob Fearnley to set up this showdown with Auger-Aliassime.

With his dominant record against the Canadian, he will be confident of advancing to the second week for a sixth consecutive time. Zverev hasn’t failed to make at least the quarter-finals in New York since his run to the final in 2020.
