Henrique Rocha and Alexander Bublik pulled off some of the biggest surprises at the French Open in the second round. The two staged stunning comebacks to set up their first-ever meeting. Joao Fonseca or Jack Draper awaits the winner in the next round, and below is our prediction.

Bublik came from two sets down to see off Alex De Minaur, a player ranked 53 places above him. Bublik’s win makes him the first Kazakhstani to reach the third round of the men’s singles at the French Open.

Facing a qualifier, he will feel confident of extending this even further.

Rocha, who started the competition in the qualifying rounds, will also have his motivations to down Bublik. The Portuguese youngster trailed 2-0 in the opening sets but recovered well to beat world No. 19 Jakub Mensik in the second round.

No one would have predicted this match to hit five sets, let alone the result it produced. His two matches at Roland Garros have each seen five sets played.

Having not played consistently at this level, Rocha may suffer from fatigue. He has already clocked 13 hours and 41 minutes on the court. Meanwhile, Bublik has only played for four hours and 41 minutes.

Despite hitting the headlines, Rocha is still on a losing run on clay.
