Top seed Alexander Bublik continues his bid to win back-to-back ATP Tour clay court events. The Gstaad title winner faces unseeded compatriot from Kazakhstan Alexander Shevchenko in the Generali Open quarter-finals. Read our match prediction

Alexander Shevchenko has lost both of his previous matches against Bublik. These two players met last week in Gstaad with Bublik winning in straight sets and losing just five games, their only clay court match.
This is the first time he’s been past round two of an ATP Tour event this year. It’s been a struggle and he had to come from a set down to beat Daniel Elahi Galan in round one. Wednesday saw him beat eighth-seeded Marton Fucsovics in straight sets taking him to 100th in the live ranking.
