Albania vs Hungary Prediction & Betting Tips - World Cup

England are five points clear at the top of this group, so Albania and Hungary will be setting their sights on finishing second. That would take them into the play-offs and is their best chance of making it to the World Cup next year. Albania start this game in fourth place, a point behind their opponents in third and Poland in second. The home side have won two and lost two of their group matches. Wins have come against the two minnows in the group, Andorra and San Marino with defeats by England and Poland. Albania host Hungary and then San Marino, so some points should be on their way. Two wins would certainly boost their chances, especially if Poland were to lose to England next week. Form is not good though with only one win in their last five matches. Their last two games have seen away defeats to the Czech Republic in a friendly and then in midweek, a 4-1 loss in Poland in this group. Three of the last four at home have seen both teams score.

Hungary played well at Euro 2020 against tough opposition and nearly got out of the group of death. Thursday saw them put in a poor performance when losing 4-0 at home to England and it could have been a lot more than that.  Now comes the chance to redeem themselves with this away game in Albania followed by a home fixture against Andorra and next month the reverse fixture with Albania. Those games will determine how good a chance Hungary have of getting the play-off spot in this group. It's hard to bet on them to win after that performance against England. Two of their last three games have seen both teams score and they did put three past France and Germany at Euro 2020 but have conceded in each of their last four matches. Place a bet on both teams to score in this game.
