The top two in the Dutch Eredvisie meet with the winners guaranteed top spot. Leaders Ajax have home advantage but have just a single point lead over second placed PSV.  The home side have slightly stumbled in recent weeks. They lost at home to Twente and in their most recent game could only draw 1-1 at Willem II. In both of those games, Ajax had taken the lead. They had no problems in their other two recent fixtures beating Zwolle and Den Haag, scoring eight goals in the process. Home form for Ajax has seen them win six and suffer that loss to Twente. Their seven games have seen them score 25 goals, that's seven more than any other side in the Erevidisie. With an overall total of 52 league goals this season, they have scored 17 more goals than any of their rivals. They'll be looking for a fourth straight home league win over PSV.

The away side come into this game having won all three of their last league matches. However, all three were against sides in the bottom half of the table. They have only lost one league game this season, a 2-1 away loss to Vitesse in late October. Since then, they've won six and drawn two and drawn four points clear of third placed Feyenoord. Away from home, they have only won three of their seven league games with three draws. Only in a 3-0 away win at Zwolle, have they managed to keep a clean sheet. This is a vital game that could change the whole nature of the season. Ajax have the home advantage and with PSV not so hot on their travels (they have a 100% home record), go for Ajax to get a key win here.
