Sunday’s Serie A action wraps up with Lazio heading to Milan to meet the Rossoneri. The hosts are struggling in their bid for Champions League football, with Stefano Pioli yet to drag them up the table. His side are five points shy of Lazio as things stand, but what will the gap be after they clash in San Siro? Can Milan pull it back, or will the pressure start to grow on Pioli already? Milan’s season continues to be a struggle, with a narrow 1-0 win over SPAL in midweek doing little to boost their fortunes. They have won just twice in their last seven league games, leaving the Rossoneri stuck in midtable. Now they are pushing for a revival, but there does seem to be something lacking at the club. The fact that Pioli is a definite step down from the previous manager Marco Giampaolo doesn’t really help, but it could give Lazio an opening.

The visitors are peaking at the perfect time in the league, as they have jumped into the top five after a five-game unbeaten streak. They thumped Torino 4-0 in midweek and they’re aiming to make it three league victories in seven days by securing a win at Milan. Having come fresh from a 2-1 win at Fiorentina last Sunday into this big doubleheader, the visitors have already proven themselves on the road. Lazio have also excelled in front of goal lately, hitting 15 goals across their last five league matches. They should be able to hurt a Milan side who look shaky at the back, while the hosts have lost all of their clashes with sides above them in the league so far. The Rossoneri are built to take out smaller sides, but losses here to Inter Milan and Fiorentina show how easily Milan are pulled apart.
