Tottenham vs Burnley Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Tottenham host Burnley on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League with both teams needing to pick up the points, but for different reasons. Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs team have lost their last four EPL matches, a run which has effectively ended any realistic hope of a top four finish. With both Chelsea and Newcastle closing in, Spurs need to pick up points and do so quickly. A home game against the 19th-ranked team in the Premier League offers an ample opportunity to do precisely that. They have won three of their last four at home, their only defeat in that run a 3-2 loss to Arsenal. Last time out they were 4-2 losers at Anfield as Liverpool got back to winning ways.

Burnley have mathematical hope of staying up, but it is a long shot. To do so they must win both their remaining games, hope Nottingham Forest lose both theirs and that Luton get no more than three points from their remaining two matches. They also have to pick up three points on the road at Spurs, given that they have won just three away games this season, that is a big ask. Vincent Kompany’s team have lost just one of their last five away games, drawing three and winning the other. However, that form has come a little too late to give themselves a realistic chance of survival. Burnley’s battling performances since mid-March have done them credit. But it is extremely difficult to see them picking up the points they need and getting the results they require over these last two weeks of the season.
