Lyon are second in this Champions League group, two points behind RB Leipzig. They travel to third-placed Zenit who are three points adrift of them and only a point above bottom of the table Benfica. A win for Lyon will take them into the knock-out stages where they'll hope not to get drawn against Barcelona as happened last season. A draw wouldn't be a bad result for them either with their final game at home to Leipzig, who they have already beaten away from home in this group. Lyon have only lost one of their group games, an away loss to Benfica. They had a terrible spell of form between August and October but have turned that round well in recent weeks. They have won four of their last five matches with the other game being a loss at second placed Marseille.

Zenit start this game in third place in this group with four points from four games. A win here would put them in with a chance of reaching the knock-out stages but a poor result could see their current Europa League place in jeopardy. That's particularly the case as their final game is away at Benfica, a loss there means they'd have to win this game to retain third place. Zenit beat Benfica at home but lost to Leipzig. They have failed to win their last two home games and lost two of their last three Champions League games played on home soil.
