Young Boys from Zurich had a difficult time in the third qualifying round against Dinamo Kiev. They lost the away leg 3-1 but it was 2-0 going into second half injury time before they got a vital away goal and Kiev went up the other end and got a third goal. In the second leg, it was 1-0 going into the 90th minute before that tie winning second goal and an away goals victory. Young Boys  CSKA Moscow beat AEK Athens 3-0 in the third qualifying round, winning 1-0 away and 2-0 at home. The Russian side have competed in the group stages of the Champions League for the past four years and will be confident of making it through for a fifth time in a row though they haven't reached the knock-out stages since 2012.
