Wolverhampton Wanderers are coming from a 0-0 draw with Leicester City and will be shifting gears to the FA Cup as they play host to Southampton. This will be one of the few fixtures pitting Premier League teams. These two drew 1-1 in their league meeting in November. Going to this game, Wolves have failed to score in three of their last four matches and have scored three goals in five matches, while conceding two. It has not been an easy ride for Wolves in recent matches and they go to this one with just four wins and as many clean sheets in the last 15 matches. In the same run, they have scored just four goals. Once a free scoring side, Southampton are currently struggling in front of goal, and have failed to score in two of the last three games. It has been worse away from home, with the Saints failing to win in the last five matches on the road. This will be their third straight away match and having failed to score in three of their last four away matches, there are genuine worries at St. Mary’s. In the FA Cup, Southampton are winless in their last three away matches, and conceded two or more goals in the three.
