Wolverhampton Wanderers will be back at home to take on Crystal Palace in the 37th round of matches in the Premier League this Monday. Going to the game, Wolves are placed sixth with 56 points and Crystal Palace 14th on 42 points. Wolves’ hopes for playing in the Champions League next season through their Premier League finish were crushed in the final minute of their game with Burnley last time out. Wolves have lost just twice in their last 12 matches, and by this will be the favorites as they head to the game, looking at Palace’s recent run as well. It is at home that they have flourished; Nuno Espirito Santo’s side has won four of their last six home matches and have registered six clean sheets in their last seven matches at home. They have failed to score in just three of their last eight matches at home, but then kept two clean sheets in the three matches. Of the 14 wins Wolves have managed in the Premier League this season, seven have come at home and having beaten Everton 3-0 in their last home game, they will be keen to wrap up their home matches on a high. In their 18 home matches in the league, Wolves have failed to score in just three.

Crystal Palace, on the other hand, have been on a freefall since football resumed. They restarted with a 2-0 win over Bournemouth but have lost each of the subsequent matches – six straight. Having garnered 42 points, Palace are not in danger of getting relegated but can play for a higher finish. The best they can finish is 11th place but that will depend on other results and they will be hoping to finish on a high. In their last game, Palace were beaten 2-0 by Manchester United and going to this game, Roy Hodgson’s side have piling injuries and suspensions to worry about. A blunt attack that has seen the team fail to score in five of their last six matches has played a key role in Palace’s woes and a leaky defence that has let in two or more goals in five of the six hasn’t helped either. Five of their 11 wins in the Premier League have come away from home but heading here they have three straight away league losses and just two wins in 11 away league games. They have conceded nine goals in the last three away matches in the league, and have failed to score in the three. Crystal Palace have won four of the last five meetings with Wolves and will be hoping for that form to play out in this clash.
