Wolfsburg will look to put pressure on Bundesliga top four clubs with a win over a struggling St. Pauli in the matchday 25 meeting. This match on Saturday at the Volkswagen Arena between the seventh-placed Wolves and the 15th-placed Kiezkicker comes with our prediction of a home win.

Ahead of this round, Wolfsburg’s 37 points put them just one point outside the top six and four behind the top four clubs. St. Pauli’s 21 points give them a four-point advantage over the relegation play-off spot.

A 2-1 win away at Werder Bremen last weekend was the right tonic for Wolfsburg as they bounced back from a cup defeat to Leipzig. It was also their second win in three league matches as the Wolves look to push for a top four finish. That will need them to halt a three-game drawing sequence at this venue, two of those against relegation strugglers.

St. Pauli were beaten 2-0 at home by Borussia Dortmund last weekend, extending their winless run to five. Four of those were consecutive defeats, as their buffer to the relegation zone has now shrunk to just four points.

Hopes of a rebound here are remote, as St. Pauli were beaten in eight of their last 11 away matches in all competitions.
