Last season, West Ham United were battling relegation towards the end of the campaign and this season they are in the chase for Europa League football. They will get that if only they can avoid defeat at home to Southampton on Sunday. The Hammers have 62 points going to this game and are placed sixth while Southampton are 14th with 43 points going to the final day. For a better part of the second half of the season, West Ham looked like they’d get Champions League football, which signals just how much work David Moyes has put in the team. West Ham have trailed in each of their last six league matches but they’ve been impressive in the last two, coming from down to earn four points. In their most recent, they staged a late comeback to stun West Bromwich Albion 3-1 after earlier rallying to draw 1-1 with Brighton. They will still need to improve on two wins in their last six matches while they haven’t been the best defensively. In the last 10 league matches, West Ham have no clean sheet.
