West Ham United will hope to bounce back when they host Brighton in their next Premier League game. Going into this Round 14 game, West Ham are fourth in the standings, with 23 points while Brighton have 18 points, in ninth. Two straight league defeats have left West Ham five points behind third placed Liverpool and with Arsenal lurking in fifth place with 23 points, they could drop further if they don’t win. Their scoring run is one key area that can lift them though; West Ham have failed to score in just one of their last five matches across all competitions. In the last game, they put in a good shift but lost 2-1 to Manchester City; they have scored two or more in three of their last five matches. An earlier 3-2 win over Liverpool should give West Ham confidence they can take on anyone in the league. This should be their motivation in trying to break their eight-game winless run against Brighton.
