Bournemouth will go in search of their first win this season away to West Ham United in the second round of the League Cup. The Hammers haven't been strong at home in recent times but bookies back them more here. Read on for our prediction for this match.

After a late heartbreak in the 2-1 home loss to Aston Villa, West Ham recovered on Match Day 2 of the Premier League. They are coming off an impressive 2-0 win away to Crystal Palace. Now they are faced with the challenge of serving the same to home fans.

The fact that they have three wins at home in the last 14 matches doesn’t place them on a very strong footing. The Hammers have, however, lost just three of those home matches, with eight ending in draws.

The last two matches between these two sides produced 1-1 draws. With that, Bournemouth haven't beaten West Ham United in the last six meetings between them. They will hope to turn that trend in this visit, though their start to the season hasn’t been strong.

In their opening two matches of 2024/25, Bournemouth have posted two 1-1 draws. The latest of them was at home to Newcastle United on Sunday. They conceded late in the game to miss out on two points and have now failed to win in five straight matches.
