West Bromwich Albion ended their five-game winless run in their last outing, and will be up for a second straight win when they play host to Preston North End in the Championship. Ahead of this game, the two sides are 12 points apart, with West Brom fifth on 45 points and Preston 15th on 33 points. West Brom are coming from a comfortable 3-0 win over Peterborough United, their first win in six matches and third in 10. It was just the second time in 10 matches that they managed more than a goal, while they’ve failed to score in five of the 10 matches. West Brom, however, have five clean sheets in the last 10 matches. In their last meeting with Preston, the two sides drew 1-1 but West Brom are unbeaten in their last seven matches against Preston.

Most of the action in their matches has been coming in the second half; only once in their last five matches have they scored in the first half. They’ve also conceded in the second half in four of their last five matches. They haven’t done so badly away from home, losing just once in the last 12 league matches and all season in the Championship they have two away losses.
