Second placed West Bromwich Albion have a six point lead over Fulham in third. They look to continue their bid to return to the Premier League with a home game against 16th placed Birmingham City. West Brom have had an up and down few months but always managed to stay in the all-important top two. They had returned to form with a run of six league games. Then they lost at home to Wigan and could only draw away at Swansea. Home form had seen just one loss in five before another surprise win for in-form Wigan. They have won eight home league games this season and will be confident of beating their local rivals. A win will take them back to the top of the Championship with a two-point lead, as Leeds don't play until Sunday.

Birmingham come into this game eight points clear of the relegation zone but without a win in their last five league games. They had been unbeaten in their last ten but four in a row had been drawn before losing at home to Reading last weekend. Their last league win was on February 11 at relegation-threatened Barnsley. Away form has seen them without a defeat in seven league games, though only one has been against a side in the top seven. West Brom won the reverse fixture 3-2 and can be backed to complete the double here;
