Arsenal will finish 2020 on a high after bagging two straight wins and will be hoping for more of the same when they travel to West Bromwich Albion for their first assignment of 2021. West Bromwich Albion are still placed 19th with eight points while Arsenal are 13th on 20 points. The hosts go to this game on the back of very disappointing results lately and not even the arrival of Sam Allardyce has been able to work miracles so far. Right before this game, West Brom were handed a 5-0 beating at home by Leeds United. That loss means they are winless in six straight matches going to this clash and their only win in 16 matches remains the 1-0 victory over bottom placed Sheffield United. This season West Brom have played 18 matches and won just two. They have seven losses in the last 10 matches and failed to score in five of the 10, while conceding two or more goals in five of the 10 matches. In the last three home matches alone, West Brom have conceded 13 goals. They have scored two goals in the last five home matches and have beaten Arsenal just once in the last five meetings.

Arsenal on the other hand, have recovered from a very poor run by their standards and go to this game on the back of two straight wins. The London side hasn't seemed to miss Brazilian trio of Gabriel Magalhaes, Willian and David Luiz, all who are in isolation. They beat Chelsea and Brighton in their last two matches and will hope to add on West Brom as they seek a better year in 2021. A lot of improvement for the Gunners will be needed in defence, where they have just one clean sheet in the last 10 matches. They have four wins in 10 matches and have scored two or more goals three of the 10 matches. In the last 10 league matches, Arsenal have won three, of course with two wins coming in the last two games. Against Brighton, they did not have a very good game, but still managed to win, as Alex Lacazette came from the bench to score instantly for a 1-0 win. That was his second goal in as many games, having also scored against Chelsea earlier, and it was his third goal in eight away league matches for the team. Arsenal have scored in each of their last four league matches and have won three of their eight away league matches, while keeping clean sheets in four. They have however scored more than one goal in just one of their eight away league games this season.
