Wales got their season off to a good start with a 4-1 home win over the Republic of Ireland in their opening UEFA Nations League group. Their joy was short-lived though when Denmark's internal dispute was sorted out and they faced a full-strength team and lost 2-0 away from home. Following this warm-up friendly against Spain, they have a vital away game in the UEFA Nations League when they travel to the Republic of Ireland. This is going to be a tough game for the Welsh who have only won two of their last nine games and one of those was against out-classed China. Wales have only won two of their last seven home games and this could be a long night for them.

Spain had a disappointing World Cup going out on penalties in the last sixteen to Russia. They have bounced back well from that with two wins in the UEFA Nations League, first of all winning 2-1 away at England and then hammering Croatia 6-0. Excluding penalty losses, Spain have gone 26 games without defeat, their last loss over 90 minutes being when knocked out of Euro 2016 by Italy. Saul and Rodrigo scored in both of Spain's wins this season and Wales will have to keep an eye on those two for sure. The tip here is for Spain to get an away win.
