Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca have the advantage of an away goal as they head to their home match against Algerian giants MC Alger in the CAF Champions League quarter finals. The two drew 1-1 in the first leg in Algiers and will face off on Saturday in the fight for a place in the semis. Wydad will be happy with their away performance but sad that they couldn’t hold on for the final seven minutes as MC Alger rallied to square the tie after the first leg. However, a run of just one loss in their last eight matches in the Champions League should give Wydad the confidence they need. With a 0-0 draw, Wydad will advance to the next stage and they should be planning for the last four, looking at their home record. In the last four home matches in this competition, they have clean sheets and wins of not less than two goals in each game.

MC Alger’s last away game against Wydad ended in a 4-0 hiding. They’ll hope they can avoid such in this clash but in Wydad’s home form, it can be hard to rule out. The Algerians haven’t had a great run in the Champions League and go to this game winless in the last three matches in the competition. In their last eight Champions League matches, they have two wins and three clean sheets. It isn’t any better away from home, with the team having managed just two wins in the last 16.
