Vitesse enter the Europa Conference League at the third qualifying round stage. They host Dundalk in the first leg and the winners of this tie take on either Laci or Anderlecht in the play-off round. Vitesse finished fourth in the Dutch Eredivisie last season but were ten points adrift of third place. They are in their first European campaign since 2018/19 when losing at this stage of the Europa League. Home form was strong last season with only two league defeats and 12 goals conceded. 

Dundalk made it into the group stages of the Europa League last season. They lost all of their six games, conceding at least twice in each of them. This season has seen them win through two rounds to get this far in the Europa Conference League. Wins have come against Newtown and Levadia. Three of their four games have been won but it took a last gasp goal in Levadia to win the tie 4-3 on aggregate. They aren't doing too well in the Irish Premier Division. After 22 games, they are seventh in the table and have only won three of their 10 away league fixtures. This is a tough tie for them, go for a home win.
