Sporting will also not be an easy opponent; they are from a 3 – 0 win over Sporting Braga and have their confidence back as they head to the clash, seeking to overturn the home loss in the first leg. Sporting have managed just two outright wins in their last eight matches and lost three, which takes them to this clash as underdogs given they will be meeting a Villarreal side on a four game unbeaten run. In the Europa League, Villarreal are unbeaten in the last seven, having won three and drawn four. They are unbeaten in the last three Europa League matches at home, and have scored nine goals in the process; the last two have yielded wins and clean sheets. On the other hand, Sporting have five wins in their last nine Europa League matches and are unbeaten in their last three away matches in the competition. Having scored eight goals and conceded two.
