Villarreal finished fifth in La Liga last season but a distance behind the top teams in terms of points. This season hasn't started well for them and they are down in 13th place with only four points from their first four games. Already they have lost home games to both Real Sociedad and Girona and goals are a bit of a problem at present with only two in the last four and there have olnly been two goals scored in their last three matches. Villarreal reached the semi-finals of this competition in the 2015/16 season but have been knocked out in the last 32 in the past two seasons. They have no wins in their last three home Europa League games and the last couple have only seen two goals scored.

It's been a long road to the group stages for Steven Gerrard's Glasgow Rangers and this is their ninth game in the Europa League this season. Only 12 goals have been scored in those eight fixtures with seven of them having under 2.5 goals scored in them. Four away games have seen three goals scored and only in their play-off game at Ufa have they conceded an away goal. League form sees Rangers in fourth place in the Scottish Premiership with one win in the last three, though they did beat Dundee 4-0 at home at the weekend but they are bottom of the league having lost all five games. The tip for this game is to go for under 2.5 goals to be scored.
