Sixth place would take Villarreal into the Europa League group stages next season but it's tight for the qualification places. They lead seventh placed Sevilla by three points and if they dropped a place, they'd have to play the qualifying rounds. Even more worrying is they only lead eighth placed Getafe by three points and even though their opponents in this game are tenth, a win here would cut the gap between the two sides to just three points and Villarreal still have to play Barcelona and Real Madrid in their run-in so three points here would be very useful.  Villarreal have played the same number of games as Sevilla but have a game in hand on their other rivals so a win in this match would just about end Celta Vigo's Europa League hopes. The home side have been a bit jittery of late with just four points from their last four league games including an away loss to relegated Malaga. Their last home game saw them beat Leganes 2-1 and that was their ninth home league win of the season.

Celta Vigo come into this game with no wins in their last three league games but that's not quite as bad as it looks as they have managed draws against Barcelona and Valencia. They have just the one win in their last seven games though and away form has been a problem for them with ten defeats this season in La Liga.  Their last six away league games have produced just one point and with form like that the suggested bet here is for an important home win for Villarreal.
