The battle for Challenge Cup Group 3’s top spot comes to a head on Saturday as Stade Francais Paris travel to face Ulster Rugby. The Pink Soldiers will look to defeat the Ulstermen to round off their pool-stage campaign on a perfect note. Here is our prediction for the game. 

Ulster Rugby defeated Racing 92 by a 54-point margin in their Challenge Cup opener before falling against Cardiff Rugby by just three points in their second game. Richie Murphy’s men bounced back with a 28–0 shutout victory over Cheetahs in their third fixture in the competition. 

That victory saw them move to second in Group 3 with 12 points, three points shy of Stade Francais Paris at the top. They have won their last three matches, as well as all five of their home games this season across all competitions. 

Stade Francais Paris opened their Challenge Cup campaign with a 21-point victory over Cardiff Rugby and demolished Cheetahs 45–22 in their second fixture. A remarkable second-half performance saw them chalk off a 17-point first-half deficit to overcome Exeter Chiefs 27–25 in their third game, maintaining their perfect start to the competition. 

However, Les Stadistes are not likely to find it easy against Ulster Rugby on Saturday. They have struggled on the road, losing four of their last five away games across all competitions.
