Udinese will make another attempt at their first win of t5he Serie A this season when they host Lecce. The hosts are just a place, and a point above the relegation zone while Lecce are 10th. During the international break, Udinese warmed up for this game with a 1-1 draw against Rijeka. They will be hoping to improve on a run that has left them with just five points from a possible 24. Heading into the international break, there was some improvement in drawing two straight games. They had earlier posted straight losses in two. Udinese’s problems this season emanate from the fact they have also not been great in attack. They come here having failed to score in five of their eight matches in the league. As a result, five of the eight matches have had under 2.5 goals.

Lecce have had a much better season than Udinese but they haven't won in the last three matches. Before the international break they drew 1-1 with Sassuolo, ending a two-game losing run. Earlier wins over Lazio, Salernitana and Genoa should give them confidence here. they also played to a 2-2 draw with Fiorentiuna earlier in the season, which is a depiction of their levels. Lecce will be justified to feel confident ahead of this game. They know they can leap into the top six with a win, having already garnered 12 points. Like Udinese, they also need to improve on their scoring form. In two of the last three matches, they failed to score. Understandably though, that was against giants Juventus and Napoli. They’ve however not managed more than a goal in their last five matches.
